The complain process in treatment of cases of exemption
If the County Governor deems that the conditions for issuing a certificate of medical fitness are not fulfilled, you can make an appeal within 3 weeks of notification of the decision. The County Governor will refer your case to the Appeal Board.
The Appeal Board may try all aspects of the case, and in this connection take new circumstances into consideration.The decision of the Appeal Board is final.
Composition of the Appeal Board:
- a medical practitioner appointed by the Directorate of Health
- a person appointed by the Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA)
- a medical practitioner appointed by the industry's employer association
- a representative from the unions
